金曜日は久しぶりの440で仲良しヒカリノート主催の企画「光の音」でライブしました！

I played at 440 in Shimokitazawa at an event hosted by my friends Hikarinote, on Friday. I had such a blast performing!

Linda RonstadtのYou're No Good、や、Bonnie RaittのThing Called Loveなどのカヴァーとオリジナル半分半分くらいのライブをしまして、めちゃ楽しかった！夏樹と2人のシンプルなセットで、Desperadoだけヒカリノートいっせいも加わり、とってもきもちよ〜く歌を歌いました。

ヒカリノートも、フォークベースのブルースやカントリー、2人のセクシーなギタープレイ、ジョニーのキャラ、見せ所満載のライブで、とっても楽しい夜だった！ヒカリノートありがとう。

見に来てくれた人も本当にありがとう。Thanks to everyone who came!

211 SNOW SPLASH in Nozawa

野沢温泉に行ってきました。I went to Nozawa Onsen last weekend for one of the Snow Splash events that I perform at every year.

毎年出演しているSNOW SPLASHというイベントに出るため、大久保理と吉岡優三の３人で、長野へ旅！

There was tons of snow, we had a great show, good food and wine, an amazing onsen, and a huge pot of nikomi udon... :)

大雪、最高に楽しいライブ、温泉、おいしいご飯、マス寿司ケーキにワイン２本空けて、朝まで熱く語り、翌朝はジャンボ煮込みうどん！

やっぱり旅はいいね。

世界中回っている割には日本をあまり旅したことがないから、たくさんいろいろな地方にも旅したいな。

Road trips rock!

今週末はこのSNOW SPLASHのイベントin白馬！Dachamboも一緒だし、楽しみや〜♪

MOVIE: 「REAL STEEL」

最近見た映画の中で一番好き！手には汗、目には涙、そして笑顔にさせてくれる映画。

This movie was my favorite out of the few that I have seen recently. Check it out if you haven't yet.

どんどん進化して行くものがある中、人間味や人を愛する事がやっぱり一番大事なんだと。そういったメッセージを感じて、うれしかった。

みなさま、あけましておめでとうございます。

2011年は振り返るとワタシにとっても、いろいろな意味でとっても、「きっかけ」の年だったんではないかと思っています。本当にいろいろあって、それがあったから変わらなきゃいけない時になっているような気がする。

そして今年、2012年はこの「きっかけ」からの変化を行動に、より大きく、よりいい方向に、していく年になるんじゃないかと思い、とても期待に溢れています。

ワタシ自身もたくさん今変わらなければいけないなという事を感じています。

今年は年女です。

またここ一週間ワタシは女子校の教師！I've been teaching all week at an all girls HS! Again!

冬期も高木学園高等学校で教師をする事になりました！今回もワタシにとってもとても刺激的で、感動的で、とってもたくさん学ばせていただいております！

I have been teaching this week at the same school I taught at during the summer. This time, I am singing 'Jingle Bells' with them! And I am having so much fun!

今回英語は「A Christmas Carol」で歌は「Jingle Bells」を教えています♪

そしてキャンプ終了、とおもいきや、数人の生徒たいがArisa先生の周りに集まっています。なんと、"Last Christmas"の曲の歌詞・歌い方を教えて欲しいとお願いしていたのだとか。Arisa先生の歌唱力にうっとり♪ ー高木学園BLOGより。

1125「Daniel Ho w/ SAKURA @ Thumb's Up」

先日、６年連続グラミー賞を受賞しているすばらしいアーティストのDaniel Hoの日本ツアーファイナルのオープニングアクトをつとめさせていただきました。

I had the honor of opening for 6 time GRAMMY winner (6 consecutive years!) Daniel Ho the other night. He put on an amazing performance playing J.S.Bach songs with the Ukulele, and some jazz tunes from his Kilauea era. He was extremely inspiring. Just amazing.

Danielのウクレレとはるおのベース2本でのJ.S.バッハの曲の演奏や、むかしKilaueaでやっていたジャズの曲などをピアノで弾いたものが、ヤバすぎた。ひゃー、かっこよかった。

みんなでのセッションも楽しかったし、打ち上げではDanielからいろいろな経験話や音楽界にいる事にためになるやさしいアドバイスをたくさんお話ししてもらった、最高な夜でした。

余談：12月1日に今年のGRAMMY賞のノミネート作品が発表されましたが、いつもはBest Hawaiian Music Albumで受賞していたDanielですが、今年はBest Pop Instrumental Albumでノミネートされています！Brian SetzerやBooker T Jones、Jenny Oaks Bakerとならんでいる！すごい！ぜひ受賞してもらいたい！

Extra: The Grammy nominees were announces on December 1st, and Daniel, along with Booker T Jones, Brian Setzer and Jenny Oaks Baker... was nominated for Best Pop Instrumental Album this year for the first time! I really hope he gets it!!! Go Daniel!!!!

MOVIE: 「QUEEN ROCK MONTREAL」

I went to see this movie the other night! 見に行ってきました。

もちろん、歌って、踊って、叫んで、そして、涙しました。

本当にライブを見ている感がすごくあって、しかも音のクオリティーもとっても高くて、すごく楽しめる作品です。QUEENあまり知らないっていう方でも、ヒット曲がとても多いので、「あ、これ聞いた事ある！」とか多いと思いますよ♪

どのメンバーも変態度高く、めっちゃうまいので、刺激的です。

It was as if I had taken a time machine to the 80's and was at the concert.

You were allowed to stand up, shout, sing along, dance, do anything at the cinema!
It was AWESOME.

I definitely recommend to go see this, especially after a few good beers ;)

「イギリスのロックバンド、クイーン結成40年、フレディ・マーキュリー没後20年のダブルメモリアルイヤーである今年公開されるクイーンの伝説ライブ映画『Queen Rock Montreal』は、命日10年前の同日付（1981年11月24日）に行われたコンサートであることから、ファンに“遺作コンサート”と囁かれるライブステージを、ブライアン・メイ自ら最新のデジタル・リマスタリング技術を用いてデジタル化。フレディとともに一緒に歌い、踊り、叫び、思わず涙する観客が続出した伝説の作品となっている。

今回の上映では、ダブルメモリアルイヤーならではのイベントとして、全国の劇場にて本作鑑賞のお客様全員にフレディへの思い、感謝の言葉などを綴ってもらい、後日フレディが眠るイギリスの自宅に届ける企画を実施。

また、多くのファンの要望により、本編上映後には、名曲「Teo Torriatte（手をとりあって）」の映像が特別上映されることも決定した。ファンの間でも人気が高いこの曲は、今年の東日本大震災後、被災地にエールを送る曲として、ラジオにリクエストが多く集まったことでも知られており、世界のアーティストによるチャリティーアルバム『SONGS FOR JAPAN』にもクイーンの希望により収録されている。

今日は感謝祭(アメリカの)ですね！日本では歴史の由来もないですし、あまりお祝いはしないですね。でもワタシはこの日を感謝を送る日として海外にいなくても気持ちで祝います。

We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in Japan much, and since I now live here I don't have plans for Thanksgiving dinner with friends and family either. However, I'd still like to wish everyone Happy Thanksgiving and tell everyone about how grateful I am to be a part of their lives.

毎日幸せを感じて生きている事に感謝します。

I liked this one very much! これおいしかった！

And this baby, was SO good. これは格が違った！おいしい！

And this one, was poured fresh from the barrel to the bottle in front of my eyes. Yum yum.

今夜はオーストラリアから来ているStu Larsenが1年ぶりに来日してて、1年ぶりに対バンした。

前回とはまったく違う感じで。

ワタシ1年で変わったなと。

ライブはなんだか、

今日はいろいろとあったからか、

歌いながら自分の

その気持ちを詰め込んだ歌、にひたすた溺れてた。

自分で弾いてるギターも夏樹のハモニカもうっすらといるだけで。

ふわっと飛んで、渦巻いてる淡い色の中、歌が響いてるだけ。

ふわふわふわ〜って。

でもこれもこれできっと伝わっているのかな？

と思った夜でした。

最後までStuと夏樹とわいわいと楽しかった！

HALLOWEEN! ハロウィン！

HALLOWEENは大好き！海外生活、インターナショナルスクールあがりだから仮装しなかったHALLOWEENの記憶はない！日本ではまだそこまで浸透はしていないみたいで、これからもっと仮装する人が増えればいいのに！と思ってます。

This Halloween I dressed up as an old man! 今年は、人生初、男装しましたー！

ちなみに、仮装を手作りしたりっていうのが当たり前で、ギリギリまで何もなくて買う時くらいしか、新品のコスチュームを買うのはない！(お古はたまにあるけど)

I feel like foreigners may know how to dress up better than people in Japan just because Halloween hasn't been around for that long in Japan.

それだからこそおもしろい仮装がたくさん！Some of my favorites in the past few years!

1028「Starbucks Tokyo Midtown」

昨日大好きなスターバックスミッドタウン店で初めてライブをする事ができました！贅沢にかっちゃんと一緒に演奏させてもらいました。

Last night I had a show at Starbucks in Tokyo Midtown, and performed with the wonderful Katsuhiko Sato on guitar.

新鮮な環境でライブ、とっても楽しくできました。

I usually don't play at cafes too often, so I had a lot of fun in this new environment! The people at Starbucks were so sweet :)

スタバのみなさんも暖かく迎えてくれてすごく心地よかったです。

大好きなスタバのコーヒーもたくさん飲めたし、最高に幸せ〜♥

Had so much coffee... mm....

またやりたいです。

Let's Get Together @ Tokyo Boot Up! (ライブ映像)

82組ものバンドが出演した、３日間にわたって行われた、Tokyo Boot Up!という渡辺ケンさん主催のフェスに出てきました！

We played at a festival called Tokyo Boot Up! hosted by the wonderful Ken Watanabe!!

7月のpre-event seriesのライブの映像が、渋谷や秋葉原の街頭ビジョンで登場していましたね♪

It was a promotion for this festival that got us on the big screen in Shibuya, Akihabara, etc in the summer ;)

あっというまに終わっちゃいました！

ゆうぞうと夏樹とリハ後にライブハウスに到着して、Marbleの中に入るととっても大音量でライブをしているバンドが次から次へと！そんな流れの中、こんなにもブルージーでカントリーでみたいな感じのバンドで平気かしら？とも思いつつ出番待ち。

At first when we arrived the live house that we were supposed to play in, the genre of the other bands playing was so different I was kind of anxious to see how the crowd would react, but it seemed like everyone was liking what they saw, and was having a good time! I sure had a good time!!!

ライブが始まってみるとみなさまとっても楽しそうで！嬉しかった。

そして、やっぱり外人はブルースが好きなんだな。と思った。

３人の感じ、どんどん良くなるし、どんどん気を許して行って、より楽しめている！それはライブではもちろん、その前後も楽しい☆ 一緒に音出していて、刺激的だし。もっといろいろやりたくなる！最高！

It's really been so great playing with the 3 guys: Yuzo and Natuki too! They are amazing musicians.

初めてclub doctorに行きました！ Had a show at Club Doctor in Shinjuku the other night.

Got a cool dead bear stamp on my hand ;)

なんだか暗ーくて渋ーくて不思議なところだったんだけど、なんだか心地よくって。

たっぷり1時間弱ライブやらせてもらいました。

同じ血液型

の夏樹とは以外と似てる所がたくさんで。まったくお互いに気を使わなくていいいい関係です。

親戚みたい。らしいです。

彼の素晴らしいハモニカとワタシの一生懸命な歌、どうだったかな？

ワタシたちはたっぷり楽しませてもらっちゃいました。

久しぶりに地球屋でライブをさせてもらいました！

Had a show at Kunitachi Chikyuya,

地球屋はとても個性的な雰囲気を持っていて、みんなが暖かくて、おもしろい、大好きな場所です。

Chikyuya is a unique and very interesting venue, and the people that are there are so warm! I love it there.

優三と夏樹と３人で演奏しました。これまでで３人でのライブは２〜３回目かな？３人での感じが掴めて来た！とにかく楽しくて自然とテンションがアップします。

I performed with Natsuki and Yuzo. These guys are amazing! I always have such a great time playing with these boys :)

最近ワタシ、ライブで、そしていつもどこでも、もっとさらに自然体でいたいと思っています。

以外と時と場合によっては人見知りしたり、MCになると固くなってしまったり、変に気を使っていたりするんです。

めざせ！自然体！

自然体なワタシでいてもいいかしら？

I made my CEATEC debut! CEATEC出てたよ！

知ってたかな？KDDIの最先端技術、「自由視点映像」のサンプル動画になんとワタシたち、Arisa Safu and the Roversが出ています。CEATECでは「自由視点コンサート」として鑑賞できました！

I was part of a 'Free-point view' video from KDDI, and my video was used as material for them to present it at CEATEC this year. 'Free-point' means that you can put the camera anywhere while watching the video. So say you zoom up on me, you'll get real close, even sideways or from behind if you want, and you'll hear more of my voice. Pretty sick, huh?

「自由視点」の名のとおり、ライブ映像を好きな視点から楽しめるだけでなく、バンド映像ならたとえばギターの近くの視点ではギターが大きく聞こえるなど、3次元の音場を合成して聞こえ方まで変化するのが特徴。背景を変更すると、会場の反射音などを考慮して音を変化させることもできます。

先日ヨーロッパの旅から帰ってきました。いろいろと刺激的で、波瀾万丈でした。やっぱり旅は好きです。早くまたどっかに飛んでゆきたいですね。

Just came back from my eurotrip a few days ago. What a trip!

今回はドイツ(マンハイム、ベルリン)、オランダ(アムステルダム、デルフト)、イギリス(ケンブリッジ、バース、ロンドン)、フランス(パリ)、の8都市に行きました。ゆっくり一つ一つの都市の事をアップして行こうかと思います。

This time 'round I went to 8 cities: Mannheim and Berlin in Germany, Amsterdam and Delft in the Netherlands, Cambridge, Bath and London in the UK, and Paris, France. Will be posting about each city in this blog!

昨夜は素敵な素敵なLUMINE屋上のビアガーデンにて演奏をしてきました。2ステージ。

とっても楽しかった！新鮮！

Last night I played at a beautiful beer garden on the roof of Shinjuku LUMINE. 2 shows.

It was great playing in front of people who usually aren't the type to come to live houses.

Last night was the last night this summer that they had live music. The event was called "GIRLS LIVE AID" and we collected donations for the Tohoku region.

タイトルを”GIRLS LIVE AID”。会場には被災地支援のための募金箱もおいてあって、女性のパワーで盛り上げていこうというコンセプトでした。とてもステキ☆

Went to the BBQ&LIVE event hosted by FREE CULTURE and FROGGIES in Chigasaki, to enjoy the last bit of summer left! The food was amazing, and the weather was nice, and I got to sing a few songs too, so it was amazing!

Went up to Gunma during the typhoon warnings with the Rovers to a 'gaijin' (foreigner's) party, Summer Splash. The 'gaijin's are crazy out there!!

I had the honor of opening for the legendary Hawaiian singer-songwriter John Cruz last week.

John Cruz初来日のOPENING ACTをかっちゃんと夏樹とつとめました。緊張したー！！でもとても楽しい、刺激的な一夜になりました。

小学生の時からファンのJohnは、やはりすばらしかった。夏樹とかっちゃんと３人トリオはあの日しか見れなかったスペシャルスペシャル！だったね♪

He was incredible! He rocked out!

そして、9/2に彼から聞いたエピソード(He told me an interesting story to do with his new album.)：

Johnはあの歴史的なKOKUA FESTIVALでのJack JohnsonとJackson Browneとの演奏の時に、初めてJack JohnsonにJackson Browneを紹介されたそう。そして、それから、新しいアルバムの制作に入る時に、それを聞き、なんとJackson Browneから電話！

「新しいの作ってるらしいけど、どこでとるの？」

「うーん、LAかここかかな。。。？」

「うちくればいいじゃーん！」的な会話をし、

なんと今John Cruzの最新のCDは、Jackson Browneのスタジオで録っている。

Apparently, he met Jackson Browne through Jack Johnson at the KOKUA Festival a few years back, and when he started to make his new album, Jackson called him up and offered his studio for the recording! Many legendary studio musicians are in his new album: James Gadson, Paulinho de Costa, etc...

そして、歴代ミュージシャンが入っているのだ。Bill WithersのUse MeをレコーディングしていたドラマーJames Gadsonだったり、Bill Withersや、Bob Dylan、Madonna、The Offspring、Red Hot Chili Peppers、Al Jarreauなどなどのめまぐるしいすごい量のアーティストとレコーディングをしているPaulinho de Costaとか。

とにかく、やばい！I would definitely recommend this!

女子校の教師終了！Amazing experience teaching at the HS!

女子校で歌と英語を教えた週の最後の日の様子です。This is from the last day that I taught singing and English at the Girls High School! It was such an incredible experience, and as much as I taught, I learned from this whole week. こんな経験ができてとても感謝しています。人に教えるのって本当に楽しい！

そして、今日学園のブログを覗いたら、こんな事が書いてあったよ！

先日のEnglish Bilingual Campに参加していた2年生の姿を見つけました。近寄ってみると、日本語で話している～！！！

"Excuse me... why are you speaking in Japanese, not in English???"（「あら～、すみません、どうして英語ではなくて、日本語でお話してるのかしら？」）と聞いてみると…

"Oh- sorry... we will speak in English!"　（「あーごめんなさーい、英語で話します」）と瞬間的に答える生徒たちでした。

彼女たちに、「English Bilingual Campどうだった?」と質問してみると、

「すごーく楽しかったです！！！Arisa先生最高！可愛いし、教え方も楽しいし。先生、次のEnglish Bilingual Campはありませんか？」とのこと。

「え？分からないなぁー。あったとしたら、また参加するの?」と聞いてみると

「ぜーったいに参加します！」と気合マンマンでした。

最終日に参加した生徒たちに書いてもらったアンケートでも、驚異的な満足度の高さを示したこのCamp - 参加した皆さんは、ぜひここで学んだ英語の勉強の方法を、今後も継続してみてくださいね。

うれしいなぁ。また是非やりたいですね！

I played sax at Kanpei-chan's memorial. He was an amazing bass player and keyboardist, and I had the pleasure of being in the band SUPER Goooooood with him since I was 17 years old.

Fate is a funny thing.

I've recently been HOOKED on *'Magical Eye'. I have been telling everyone about it, and even bought a new book this past week.

*Magic eye picture or stereogram is an optical illusion of depth (3D) created from flat, two-dimensional images.

ここ一週間くらいでワタシの中で再ブームして、ハマりにハマっているものがあります。

それは、「マジカルアイ」！あの模様を視点ずらしてみて3Dで見えるやつ！ハマりすぎて、色々な人に勧めているのはもちろん、新たに本を先週買ったほど。

それがです！

Talk about CRAZY timing. There was a cameraman taking 3D photos at our show, and turns out he is one of the guys who make the Magical Eye books!

おとといにたまたまライブに来ていた3Dカメラマンと話していると、どうやらマジカルアイに関わっているようで！持参していた本を見せると、彼の名前が載っている！

サインと写真もらいました。

最近ワタシなんか引き寄せる力ガ強い気がします。

Wild saxophone. サックスフォン！

It's been over 10 years since I started to play the saxophone.

I was 17 when I joined Super Goooooood as a sax player.
I was 19 when I won the GBOB Canadian Finals playing sax.

I had put in down for the past few years since I was focusing on my guitar and singing.

I've started to pick it up again, often... and I LOVE it!

もうサックスを吹き始めて１０年以上！飽き性なワタシが！

１７才に高田エージに誘われふらっとSuper Gooooooodなんてバンドにサックスプレイアーとして加入してしまったのを機に、

人前でやる音楽にどっぷりハマってしまったのですね。

１９才にはサックスで加入していたカナダのバンドがカナダ代表になってイギリスまで行ったりもしたなぁ。

そして、サックスを、
ここ最近またたくたん吹いています。

今日も１回はじめたらあっという間に２時間。

Judgement Day?

２０１１年の５月２１日は聖書によると人類滅亡の日、最後の審判の日という説が浮上していて話題になりました。

いよいよそれが明日の日に迫って参りましたが、みなさんはどういった事を思って明日を迎えようとしているのでしょう？

ワタシは、この日を境に、新しい、よりいい世の中が生まれるんじゃないか？新しい世界が見えるようになる新たなスタートを遂げる日なんじゃないか？なんて期待しています。。

So, tomorrow is supposed to be the end of the world? Our final judgement day?

...I'm hoping that an even better world will be born, and that we can all be reborn, and start a new.

見た目が美しい。

そして、憧れの人が弾いていたから。

I simply play her because she is absolutely stunning, and she has an amazingly old but beautiful sound.

Also because Neil Young is the coolest guy on earth.

どんなに弦換え難しくても、運ぶの辛くても、筋肉痛、肩こりでも、ずっと一緒！

WE MADE IT THROUGH TO THE FINALS.

All I want to say is, especially with this round being solely based on audience votes, a huge thank you to all that came out and supported us. We really could not have done it without you.

昨日のEMERGENZA準決勝ですが、通過しました！

5月11日〜5月15日のなか大体毎晩８バンドほどの中の上位２位のバンドが決勝に通ります。

今回は観客投票のみでの審査だったので、応援しに来てくれたみなさまに本当に心から感謝をしてます！みんながいなかったら通ってないもん！ありがとう。

決勝は７月２日です。

The great earthquake gave a heroic impact to us who didn't know the war.

23 seems to be some sort of significant number, and I am feeling that this year might be another year of change for me (last time a drastic change happened to me at 19).

Earth Day in Tokyo.

On Sunday we will be performing at an event called Earth Day Tokyo in Shibuya's Yoyogi Park.This event is an incredibly aware event where there are mostly organic food booths, talks about fair trade, volunteer groups to collect garbage in the city, and this year this event will also host Green Peace's Energy Shift Parade with flags, banners , trucks with live music, and most importantly, people who are passionate about our country's future.

As most of you will know, Fukushima's Nuclear Power Plant is in serious danger at the moment, also, because of this way that we produce energy, we have damaged the environment in irreversible ways.

Japan has so many alternatives: geothermal energy (hello, hotsprings!), water in the monsoon seasons, wind, and solar energy. And this crisis now is a great time for us to make that change.

Our live show starts at 12:30 p.m. at the outdoor stage in Yoyogi Park, and the parade announcements will be right after. So please, come along, if you can, or at least come see the Earth Day event, and see how the people that are there are trying to make a change!I am so honored to be able to participate in such an amazing event.

日曜日に(24日)代々木公園で行われるアースデイ東京に出演します！このイベントは、出店ブースがオーガニックフードだったり、フェアトレードのトークがあったり、といったとても素敵なイベントです。

しかも、ワタシたちの出番は12:30~13:00で、そのすぐ後に「エナジーシフトパレード」が行われます。

「福島第一原子力発電所事故によって、被ばくや放射能汚染に直面されている方々にお見舞い申し上げます。福島原発周辺だけではなく、私たちをとりまく水や空気はすでに以前のものではありません。

日本は、実は豊かなエネルギーに恵まれた国です。太陽光、風力、水力、地熱 - 自然エネルギー利用とエネルギー効率を高めることによって、原発に頼らなくても必要なエネルギーをまかなうことは可能です。政府の「エネルギー基本計画」では震災後の現在でも、2020年までに9基、2030年までに14基の原発の新増設を目指すとしたままです。もう、こんな犠牲を、不安な日々を、二度と繰り返したくない - いまこそ、声をあげ、日本のエネルギーの未来を私たちでつくりませんか。」

でも愛がある所にいれば、愛し合えばいい。愛こそ不安を包み込めるから。

To sing or not to sing.. ?

There's been a huge debate on whether musicians should be doing shows in our usual manner - is it worth using all the electricity? Should we not be feeling sorry for the affected people, and not partying and enjoying ourselves? Shouldn't we be at home with family? Would it be safe to have a lot of people in a crowded live house?

However, I stand to believe that as long as we are aware, then it's something that a lot of people may be needing.

What I simply think is this:

let's get our sad asses off our sofas..
turn off the TV..
turn out the lights in your house..
go outside and take in the fresh air..
talk to people, let it out..
.. let's enjoy ourselves and smile, so we can keep our heads up and stay positive!

So I did it.

On Wednesday at Thumb's Up I sang at an event with Leyona and Kohdai. It was a wonderful night. Really something warm, something special.

I sing. It's what I do. I'm alive. I'm safe. I'm thankful everyday. I will stay positive and I am a true believer in the amount of power that music can give to people. If there is someone's heart out there that may be lifted by hearing my music, that's all I need. For this I will keep singing.

Thanks to Leyona, Kohdai, Thumb's Up, and everyone who came out.

水曜日にLeyonaとBridge StyleのKohdaiと歌いました。いろいろとミュージシャンとライブの事で議論がありましたが、歌うたいのワタシはこの今の自分の置かれている状況を見つめ直し改めて感謝し、上を向いて、音楽に宿っているパワーを信じ、精一杯人に与えられるようにがんばるしかないと思いました。

日本にとっても、いろいろといい方向に変われる可能性のあるチャンスなんじゃないかなと思う。

これからも上を向いてがんばります。悲しみや悔やみ、そんな気持ちを希望ややる気に変え、今日も明るくポジティブに精一杯生きて、歌って、与えらる事ができるようがんばります！

Happy New Year!

So.

As promised, starting this new year, I will start blogging in English too, so keep checking back to see what kind of ruckus I'm causing...

Let me update you on my life since I've been back in Japan...

So, first off, because of the snow storm that struck the states, I was unable to be in time to catch my transit flight from Detroit, and I had to spend a night there, therefore, arriving Tokyo a day late, on the 23rd.

The 24th, I went to this.

After that, a Christmas party where I spend my time dancing my butt of on the side of the stage.. pretty much till the sun came up.

On the 25th, I had a show with SUPER Goooooood.

On the 26th, I recorded for a song that is going to be used in a TV show (to be aired all over Japan) - I'll try to post a link to a video if I can find it.

And on the 28th, I had my first gig back with my band the Rovers.

And for New Year's Eve, I played 2 shows with the Rovers, and 2 shows with SUPER Goooooood at Thumb's Up and Stove's!

It was seriously one of the best new year's I've had yet! We rang in the new year at Stove's on stage with all the SUPER Goooooood guys, and the people were going wild. I can truly say that all the people that I love were there with me the moment it turned 2010. :)

It was wonderful.

I hope you all had a great new year's eve too!
